Sail Aweigh Adventures

Withover 30,000 nm in blue water, s/v Tropic Thunder has participated in numerous races (TransPac 2017 and 2019, PV 2018).  I have been fortunate to have a diverse and skilled crew.

As for US Sailing Sanctioned Safety at Sea programs, Sail Aweigh has sponsored and conducted over 25+ programs from San Diego to Marina del Rey in California and a couple in Chicago, Illinois over the past 7 years.  Plans for 2022 include a program in Ensenada, MX co-sponsored by Club Nautico Baja and the Mexican Navy as well as multiple locations in SoCal and Chicago.

As an ASA certified instructor, over 400 sailors have been trained; keelboats to catamarans.
